How to get an A


  • A clear link/connection between photographer research/influence and your own personal photos/portfolio.
  • A flow throughout all work records and research, making it clear your intentions throughout.
  • A strong plan for each shoot produced.
  • Deep analysis of other photographer's work and your own.
  • A clear presentation of progression throughout your shoots and research.
  • Show the process of each work record and shoot in depth.
  • Evidence of experimentation.
  • Various editing methods and practice to show a capability to adapt your photos and skill.
Dos and Donts for a photo

Dos:
  • Appropriate exposure settings (Manual Mode).
  • Clear focus and depth of field (Aperture).
  • Clean framing (Tripod, pleasing angles).
  • Composition:
    • Leading Lines.
    • Shapes.
    • Form.
    • Tone.
    • Colour.
    • Texture and Pattern.
  • Visualization clear.
Donts:
  • Poor exposure settings (overexposed, underexposed, lack of definition and tone, etc).
  • Poor focusing (e.g. things that should be in focus are out of focus).
  • Sloppy framing (no tripod, uneven framing).
  • No clear concept.
  • Lack of technique.
